Review: Works great! Super cool! - I installed this in my Freedom 1620 pop-up camper. It's plenty powerful and keeps the camper cool in any heat. Unit isn't very quiet, but I expect that it's as quiet as you can be for something that close to your ears :) Very easy to install, just put a cable through the side wall and an outlet on the roof and it's basically done. Simple to use with the appropriate inside control.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Could a roof top rack be installed so that a kayak could be carried over the air conditioner (i.e. rack is over 9.5" inches high)?**
A: the installed height of the penguin is roughly 10"  sounds like it would be close.mark

**Q: Will 750 kcmil cable be big enough for the 410 amps?**
A: Where is 410 AMPS coming from???? NO...NO 410 amps...this unit draws about 12 amps running and start-up or in-rush spikes at about 30amps

**Q: What kind of inverter is needed to run this ac unit(13500btu)at full capacity?**
A: The unit 'runs' at about 13-15 amps...that puts the wattage draw at 1560-1800. I would go no smaller that a 3000 with at least a 5000 peak just for starting. It will use up battery pretty quick. I had a similar set-up in my boat with a 'marine air' system running off a 3600watt inverter with 3-12VDC deep cycle batteries. I could run the A/C for 4-5 hours away from the dock then I would have to plug in or crank the gen set

**Q: what is the size of roof opening required?**

I installed this in my Freedom 1620 pop-up camper. It's plenty powerful and keeps the camper cool in any heat. Unit isn't very quiet, but I expect that it's as quiet as you can be for something that close to your ears :) Very easy to install, just put a cable through the side wall and an outlet on the roof and it's basically done. Simple to use with the appropriate inside control.

Would have been great but was completely damaged. Currently trying to get a refund. Well see if I can get our money back as UPS doesn't have any tracking info on our pick up. But I do have them on our ring picking up the package. I should of expected this since they damaged our item so bad. This isn't the first time I've purchased this item from domestic and it does work well in our Motorhome. Shipment does suck.
