Easy to learn. Cool lights. Can go fast (8+ miles per hour).Important tip: you must calibrate the device before its first use. If you don’t do this, it will shake and will be impossible to ride. I think the bad reviews here are from people who didn’t calibrate at all or didn’t do it correctly. The calibration steps are very simple and it will only take a minute, so carefully follow the instructions on the sheet in the box before attempting to use the device.Other useful info: Instructions specify that ideal ride occurs with riders weights up to150 lbs, but the board would take up to 200 lbs. Also battery should be charged until the LED light on the power charger turns green from red , and you need to unplug it once it’s green to prolong battery life. Finally, we found the hover board to work best inside of our house on our tile floors. While it works outside, you do feel the bumps in the sidewalk and road and the kids didn’t like that too much.
