The colors are rich and vivid, but not 3d (though I don't know what else you'd call it). The fabric is slick and has a sheen to it, not like a regular sweatshirt. It's not bad, but not what I expected.However, I have problems with shoddy stitching that are readily visible and I cannot use this as a Christmas gift as I intended. I am very disappointed that the stitches around the neckline are so poorly done, and I am disappointed since I think my daughter would have really liked it. It looks like they switched from black to white thread and also punched it through the seam, but I'm not sure how this happened.
