Good quality, ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Higher Upfront Cost, but Excellent for Custom Espresso Filters *by P***M on July 20, 2026* I bought this EK Tools 2-inch circle punch to make my own espresso basket filters from Chemex paper. I use a Breville Barista Express, but the punched circles do not fit any of the stock baskets that came with my machine. They fit my aftermarket 53 mm baskets extremely well, so basket compatibility should be checked before purchasing. The punch feels solid and produces clean, consistent circles without tearing or leaving rough edges. The finished filters lay flat inside compatible baskets without curling or bunching, and using the punch is much easier than trying to cut circles by hand. The upfront cost is definitely higher than just buying premade espresso filters. The advantage is that the punch is reusable, and over time you are not stuck buying whatever paper quality, thickness, or brand happens to be available in premade circles. You can experiment with different filter papers and choose exactly what works best for your espresso setup.
