Our dog is an escape master, and he’s recently taken to destroying bags and items around the house. He has some pretty serious separation anxiety, and he doesn’t do well in a cage. Trust me, I’ve read and tried all the training tricks. It got to where he was shaking when it was time to go into the cage, and he stress drinks water when he gets out until he throws up. We decided to try this soft muzzle for him, so he could be comfortable while we were gone but also not be able to get into anything and potentially hurt himself. We’ve left him about 3 times now for a work day, and he hasn’t been able to get the muzzle off, and he also hasn’t gotten into anything! He doesn’t even seem to mind when we go to put it on him! (He’s used to wearing a GentleLeader for walks, and the way it fits, it kind of mimics that.) He’s a pit bull/Boxer mix, who has kind of a short and wide muzzle, but an XL fits him great! (Side note: he hasn’t had any issues out of a cage until recently. I’m newly pregnant with our first, and I think all the changes are throwing him for a loop and leading to new misbehavior while we’re gone during the day, when it used to not.) Overall, it’s a great solution to our specific problem. It’s easy to use, and seems comfortable for him. ### ⭐ Chaffed dogs skin turned into Hotspot *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2019* This thing is horrible, i had to take my dog to the vet because it created a hot spot due to holding moisture. Tuesday he had a small irritation and we quit putting it on him so it could heal. By Thursday we were at the vet. They had to sedate him to shave and clean it because it was so bad. He only wears it at daycare and not the hole time. Max of 2-3 hours a day in small amounts of time 15-20mins a time. It was not to tight I had my vet check it for me. passed the return window or I would return.
