With the pH tests, the acidity of the water can be determined. The KH test is used to determine the carbonate hardness. Toxic nitrogen compound (nitrite) can be determined using the NO2 test, while the NO3 test gives you information about the nitrate value and thus the cause of algae. The NH3/NH4 test shows non-toxic ammonium and the tables also detect toxic ammonia. In addition, oxygen content (O2 test), total hardness (GH test), silica as a cause of diatomaceous algae (SiO2 test), CO2 content for strong plant growth, the fatal heavy metal Cu (Cu-Test), iron content for fertiliser control (Fe test), as well as the phosphate content as cause of algae and plant name.
