The recommended exercises are incredibly challenging (for those of us who never mastered skateboarding or surfing) and so you may find the balancing more than enough of a workout. My son (8 yrs old) and I have mastered the board in the beginner mode using the ball on the stand, but making the move to no stand for a more advanced work out has proven to be very difficult.
