The screen protector came in a tube with a spritzer, a black lint free cloth, a rubber scraper to get the bubbles out and to smooth it on. It looks very professionally put together. Following the instructions, I turned off my device and went online to follow their website's video step by step. In my opinion this application process is very well designed and it aligned easily. Being perhaps a bit obsessive over the exact placement of protector and ensuring that there were absolutely no specs of dust seemed to be made a relatively simple task given the instructions and tools provided. However, this is where I begin my caution. My screen was perfectly clear and perfectly placed and I went to bed satisfied. I woke up the next morning less so. Because the application process involves wetting the screen protector, it can attract and trap dust behind it without you noticing. (Think device off, black screen, nearly invisible wet dust) Several annoyingly placed pieces of dust now distract from the otherwise beautiful nexus 7 screen. I will point out that it also had many microbubbles at this point which I have read negative reviews about. They disappear after 72 hours. Now onto the touchscreen sensitivity. The New Nexus 7 has an amazingly responsive touchscreen. The first 48 hours saw a significant reduction in that sensitivity as the screen took time to completely dry and work out its microbubbles. After that point its gone back to being more responsive, but it just doesn't seem to be as amazing as it once was. In regards to the self healing and fingerprint free promises of the company, this thing doesn't work miracles, but with that in mind, it does seem to deliver. So as a final thought, I had originally written this as a two star review but I realize that I was likely just a bit miffed at the dust spots on my screen that I keep staring at while I'm typing this so I upgraded it to a 3-star. I know that the company stated to perform the placement of the protector in a dust free environment, but in reality, is there anyone who readily has access to one and would take the time to do it there? As a suggestion to the company, I would recommend adding in a warning about the pieces of dust being attracted to the wet surface in your video and to tell users to perform a very thorough inspection of the back of the screen protector before they place it onto a black screen. If you are a potential customer reading this, I would say buy it and be even more careful than I was! Protected well but had a orange peel like feel and was causing problems with screen sensitivity. After reading reviews decided to go with this one instead. Went on easily enough. So far really like the look and feel of this protector. Feels much more like the original glass. The price was much less than the Zagg. Hopefully I will be as satisfied after some time.
