If you were growing up in that time, you'll remember this on AM radio and later on in elevators as you were being whisked to your office or on "power" business appointments.Found the music brings back those times and the quality of the recordings is quite good. I have ordered the "first" volume of this as well. The track listing between two is somewhat confusing - below is a jpg of track listing and "Reel to Reel" part number. The quality of the material and the remastering is quite good.Some have indicated that the tonal quality leaves something to be desired. I had ripped at 320.mp3 using MSFT media player. Here s the thing - i felt that the quality was fine. When I played on my home theater system using the "default" 5.1 channel setting, the sound output was not great. Output volume was low and quality seem "muddled." I changed the setting to 2 channel stereo and sound quality and output met expectations. Try it and see if it makes a difference in playback if the default settings on your amplifier don't output to your expectation.Quality certainly better than my Dad's Magnavox integrated furniture cherry integrated amplifier, turntable, AM/FM radio and speakers. Much better than the AM/FM speakers and the turntable (which required a US /dime $.10 scotch tape attached to the (and I use this term loosely), "Diamond stylus."Don't let the "Nattering Nabobs of Negativism" deter you from checking this out, if you remember our convicted VP, Spiro.When ripping @ 320.mp3, I noted that some of the CD's took much longer than others to complete, but that did not seem to change the quality of the final output.My Dad is looking down and smiling - I'm finally 1960's mainstream.Rock on. Only issue is they begin to all sound the same. I can only listen to this one CD at a time. I listen to them when I go to bed at night. It takes me a long time to fall asleep and i usually switch out CDs.
