Found them several years ago on Swanson's website but now that I can order through desertcart, I'm even happier. These enzymes are great if you have problems digesting foods. Not just one food but all food. I am a bit older and find I cannot digest foods the way I did when I was younger. Trouble is, I still love those same foods. I started taking these after a friend recommended them. Been taking them since 2007 and I love them. Don't think you have to pay huge amounts of money to get quality. These DE's are just as good as the high priced ones and work just as well. UPDATE: 04/20/25 Older now since I first wrote this review and have developed insulin resistance. Nothing to do with these enzymes as they are still a great product and work. The problem I'm dealing with is I've been eliminating any food product that contains maltodextrin as it spikes my glucose. Trying to keep the numbers in semi-normal range and that means cutting processed foods out. More importantly, any supplement with ingredients that are bad for people with my condition. Maltodextrin spikes my glucose and it's found in so many products. Unfortunately, Swanson's Digestive Enzymes have maltodextrin in them. So, in as much as I would like to continue using them, I have to give them up and find something that doesn't have that ingredient. If anyone (reading this) doesn't have an issue with their glucose and maltodextrin, these are still a great enzyme to use. I can take it before or after I eat anything dairy it’s wonderful.
