Better than the last brand I bought. I would buy this brand again **Q: Can the internal cr1/3n battery be removed and replaced, or do you have to replace the entire unit?** A: For the pet collars that I own, this is the only battery that powers them. I do not understand your question about an internal battery. These batteries are replaced from the outside of the collar (externally). I use a the edge of a dime if I cannot find the removal tool that came with the collar. I do not bother to turn the collars or remove the battery.
