Review: Works well and fits Prius C - Works well on my 2013 Toyota Prius C and is fairly cheap to purchase. However, neither measurements in the manual for the regular Prius nor Yaris were any good. The Prius C seems to have the door frame area where you'd mount this at around a 60-70% angle so I had to make sure L shaped mounting pieces had the best grip possible. To do that, I had to take the front down to 3-4 on each side and 2-3 on the back so that the rack gripped the roof properly and securely. I mounted a roof cargo basket and have had no issues with about 50-60lbs on cargo basket in test drives I've done. Nothing moved whatsoever and I'm able to move the whole car when testing if the roof rack is secured. Unfortunately, have not taken a ride longer than 20 miles with it so far though (bought it for a summer roadtrip). Points to mention: 1. Came a bit banged up from shipping. Nothing too bad but plastic on bars is chipped in spots. 2. Instructions are garbage 3. The mounting pieces come with thick plastic around metal to protect car. The thick plastic is great to keep your car from scratching . However, the doors will be harder to close because of it and you'll hear a pop anytime you open the doors or at least that was the case for my car. Recommend scrapping off at least some of the plastic off so parts sit more flush with doors and avoid popping noises. You might scratch the paint inside the door area a bit if you do it though. It's not visible with the doors closed and worth it to me but maybe not for everyone. Will update review with images of it on car around July (2019) and any more information I might have after proper usage.
Review: Buyer Beware - I bought a Sportrack like this 3 years ago for another car I had bought. It was great. Affordable, easy to install, sturdy, and easy on and off. I just bought a newer car but unfortunately the old rack was too small for it. This rack is a product by a company owned by Thule, so along with their reputation and my past experience, how could I go wrong with buying another Sportrack for the car I just bought? Well, who would have thought Thule would have made this simple great product into a piece of junk. After I began installing this one I noticed that the recommended settings were all wrong for my car. Since the bars were of ample length I began to adjust it to fit but I noticed that the bars were all dinged up. At first I thought I had done it, but I hadn't done anything that would have caused and kind of damage to a normally sturdy rack. So I looked at the second bar that I hadn't even touched yet and noticed similar dings so this product was a return item put in a new box. I continued to try to make this one work by making the simple adjustments, but as I did the bars got even more dinged up indicating a very inferior product made of extremely thin metal. It is not the same sturdy product I bought just a few years ago. Apparently I experienced what the previous purchaser experienced with these very same bars. One might say, well just return it. Well, I am going through hell right now with Thule/Sportrack customer service. I ordered another product from them directly from their website and they never sent it but charged my credit card for it. It's been months with multiple phone calls and they won't cancel the order and provide a refund. So based on the piece of used junk that they just sent and my experience of them keeping over $400 of mine for a product they won't send; my suggestion to others is to stay away from Thule/Sportrack.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These work great on my 2009 Toyota Prius
*by J***1 on December 18, 2024*

These work great and fit nicely on my 2009 Toyota Prius. I have used them to haul plywood, drywall, and I’m currently using them to hold (2) 100 watt solar panels. These racks are very strong and secure. I like that you can lock them with a key as well. Great racks over all and I’m very happy with them. I highly recommend them if you need racks for your car.
