I changed the spark plus and coiled, but this did not solve the issue. So I decided that I needed to check the compression on my cylinders to find out if I had a more serious engine problem. I bought this compression tester because it was American made and had a reasonable price. I tested all 4 cylinder compressions with this tool. All cylinders averaged 175 PSI or better. I tested each cylinder twice to ensure that the results were repeatable. So I now know that that compression is great on my car's engine and it is not the problem for the misfire. Though this hasn't solved my misfire problem it has eliminated a potential major problem. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs to do this test. This is a great product and a welcome addition to my tool library. I have no way of knowing how accurate it is -- when I tested the compression on my chain saw, I got a Lower reading from this gauge than I did with my Ancient compression tester.
