Brilliant little pond pump
The media could not be loaded. I bought this small pump for a water feature I had built next to my pond. Being solar powered, and with a battery to store the power, you can change settings and switch the fountain feature on or off when in the garden. Also has the ability to come on automatically for four hours, should you want it.I simply switch on, (switch conveniently situated on the back of the solar panel) whenever I'm in the garden. I also chose this pump as it has LED lights which illuminate the fountain when it gets dark, and this adds a magical feel to the whole area. The pump also has a removable filter, which should prove useful as my previous small, cheap pump kept clogging up.A very good little pump and well worth the money for the effect if gives both day and night.

Appalling customer
This appeared to be ideal for my needs. However, after the pump stopped working after a few minutes I was asked to return it which I did. After pushing for a response they are suggesting part of it is broken and they can either dispose of it or send it back to me. This makes me feel they are suggesting I have broken this, which I can categorically state I have not.I either wa t a replacement or have my money back.

Excellent little pump.
The media could not be loaded. Excellent little solar powered pump for the money paid. Unfortunately our first unit had a solar panel problem hence only 4 stars. 12 months on the LED light ring has malfunctioned but like the original unit has been quickly replaced by World of Water who have customer service which is second to none.Ensure that your pump is suitable for the task in hand. I drilled out a stainless garden ball ornament, placed the pump in the bottom of a large plastic garden pot and another smaller pot upside in it. I purchased some plastic pipe which ran from the pump, through the garden ball. Holes were made in the upside down pot for water to run through, and it was all weighted down with stones and holes made in the back of the main pot for wiring to the solar panel. Looks a treat, works well even when not sunny and is very relaxing. Lifts the water a good metre or more to the top of the ball. Cost a fraction of the price of a purchased water feature. Very happy!

Best of a middling bunch
I had a number of attempts at buying a simple solar powered fountain for a very simple water feature.I ended up with this on on my third attempt. It's the best of the bunch - and also the most expensive. The good things. It comes well boxed. It has a simple flow control valve that makes it easy to limit the height and thus spread of the fountain - which is good for a small water feature. There is quite a bit of flexibility around how to install it, with enough extension pipes to allow it to be installed on the bottom, or a float to allow it to float on the surface. The separate solar cell allows it to be placed in optimum light - and the battery keeps the thing running for quite a while in poor light or even dark. The LED ring is fun in the dark. The not so good things - I think all these solar power fountains are over sold in terms of how much light they need to operate. I have found it's a lot more than they suggest - and I have a bright, well lit garden. It's fine in good sunshine, but if it's even a little overcast it struggles and flattens the battery after a while. The unit is supposed to come on automatically once the battery has recharged sufficiently - this seems very hit or miss - it often seems to be necessary to switch it off and on again to get it to come back to life. I haven't tried the timer function - which only operates for a maximum of four hours and thus seems a bit limited, unless you perhaps only want it to run in the evenings. The paperwork mentions a separate charger, which would allow this to run more continuously - but I haven't managed to find one online - and despite contacting the manufacturer to ask where I might buy one I did not get a particularly helpful response.I am also contemplating hooking up a second battery backed solar cell in parallel just to get a bit more performance. In summary, it does the job - at a price - and gives a pleasing effect - but the repeated intervention is a bit of a nuisance and I would really like to have the ability to charge it using the external charger - if I could find one.

Excellent Product
Excellent pump, perfect for what I wanted it to do. I had to use a pipe from my old pump, which luckily fitted over the top of the one supplied, to make it fit tightly in the waterfall tubing, but once done, it worked like a charm. It would have been better with a more powerful battery so that it doesn't run out on me when the sun goes in; my old one didn't, but I knew what specs it was, so I'm just nitpicking :) I turn it off when I'm going indoors, especially at night, so the battery doesn't drain.
