Featuring versatile input options including front 3.5mm stereo and rear RCA/DIN connectors, it ensures seamless integration with home theaters, DJ mixers, and studio monitors. Its smooth rotary volume control and included gold-plated cables deliver precise, noise-free amplification, making it an essential upgrade for professionals and audiophiles seeking superior sound clarity and volume control. ## Description The iBoost 800 was designed to solve an increasingly annoying issue, how to get a quality line level audio output from a portable or computer device that is as high as the audio output typically found with a good CD player. Most MP3 players (including iPodsTM) output a signal through the headphone jack that is suitable for headphones, but not quite for your stereo receiver, home theater system, DJ mixer etc. When plugging these devices into a home audio system, the flaw is easily noticed. The iBosst 800 brings the audio output level of these small devices up to a level suitable for your particular audio equipment. Increases the line level output by up to 20dB for any audio component with an inherently low level output, such as that found with the headphone output jack of an MP3 player, iPodTM, iPadTM, iPhoneTM, computer sound card, etc. Is also a great solution for boosting audio levels on turntables equipped with low level output cartridges when used in series with a phono preamplifier. Other applications the iBoost 800 is suitable for is the addition of a volume control between a line level source and a power amp which has no output volume adjustment of its own. Also for providing the gain needed to drive a long cable when connecting a TV's audio output to a stereo located a long distance away. Simply connect the line level output on your source device to either the 3.5mm stereo input jack on front panel or the RCA inputs on the rear. DIN IN/OUTPUTS jacks are also provided in the rear panel. Connect the output of the iBoost 800 to your amplifier, receiver, or whole-house audio controller, etc. Increase volume up to 20dB by adjusting the rotary volume control on front panel clockwise. When utilizing the front 3.5mm stereo input jack, the rear RCA inputs will be bypassed. I purchased it in 2014, but just now need to use it,** A: Its pretty straight forward and I did look on line and did find a manual. Just connect the input to the in terminals and the output to your pre-amp or receiver input and you have additional gain that is controlled with the volume / gain knob on the front. I used it because the audio output from the customers satellite receiver was too low. He had to crank up the volume whenever he wanted the audio from that source. When he switched to another input the volume was way to high. I was able to balance the output from the satellite to be at the same level as the other sources. It works well **Q: Will this work if I hook it up to the pre outs of my stereo receiver going to a Bluetooth transmitter?** A: It would depend on what type of source the blue-tooth transmitter needs. This would be a line level analog type signal that would need an amplifier of some type after the signal source. My opinion is that as long as your blue-tooth is designed to receive an analog signal and convert it to a blue-tooth radio signal then yes it should work. I would add the pre-amp outs may or may not be going through the equalizer. **Q: Does this work for video/audio capture feed for gaming or cable/satellite tv?** A: This is an audio pre-amp and does not have any connection or value for video use. It's primary purpose is to increase signal strength from ear bud output of mp3, smart phones, etc. to connect to an audio power amplifier which does not have its own audio pre-amp. It's not a stand-alone audio amplifier. If you're using capture feed for gaming or cable/satellite TV they generally have line-out connections which is exactly what the output of the iBoost is. Hope this helps. ## Frequently Bought Together - iBoost 800 Stereo Line Level Audio Amplifier Booster Amp for MP3, iPod, iPad, iPhone - Monoprice 1.5ft Premium 2 RCA Plug/2 RCA Plug M/M 22AWG Cable - Black - Tan QY 2RCA to 2RCA Cable 3Ft, Gold-Plated 2 RCA Male to 2 RCA Male Stereo Audio Cable for Home Theater, HDTV, Gaming Consoles, Hi-Fi Systems (3Ft/1M) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.de/products/1148947-800-stereo-line-level-audio-amplifier-booster-amp-for-mp3](https://www.desertcart.de/products/1148947-800-stereo-line-level-audio-amplifier-booster-amp-for-mp3) --- *Product available on Desertcart Germany* *Store origin: DE* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
