If so, which magnets do you recommend?** A: I originally purchased the 1/4" diameter 1/16" thickness neomydium magnets based on someone else's recommendation. Although they did stick and hold, and were quite discrete at that size, they didn't stay on at all. I was literally losing them on daily basis because they would fall off just from the motion of me standing up from a seated position. I did try doubling up with two magnets per collar and the performance improved somewhat but was still disappointing. I decided to try larger magnets and ordered some 3/8" diameter neomydium ones with the same 1/16" thickness. That made all the difference in the world! They still are not bulky and noticeable inside the collar and now they stay on all day and usually even when I haphazardly undress in the evening and forget to take them off first, I find that they stick and are still there in the morning. Highly recommend the larger diameter. **Q: Will these stays work with the N48 neodymium magnets ? There is a mention in the description highlighting that the updated version does not !** A: While I don't know what the N48 is, the ones I purchased are Definitely attracted to my neodymium magnet! My stays are the 2 length 2.5 & 2.75, 18 each. **Q: how do I know how long my collar stay should be, is there somewhere on the shirt that tells me or should I just pull out a ruler and measure it?** A: A 2.5 inch collar stay is one of the most common sizes. These collar stays will fit in almost every shirt, and fill the area for the collar stays completely.
