Review: Paper thin but work like a charm. - I had misgivings about these tea bags. I was using cotton tea bags, but when I re-ordered they were not available. So I chose these instead. Because they are paper-based, I expected them to break down quickly and fail. Not so! Yes, these are made from thin paper, but the paper holds up very well with no sign of splitting or bursting. Also, as a good sign, there is no tea leaf sediment in the cup after soaking the tea bag. So, the bag does not allow any debris to get through and spoil the tea experience. On top of that, these bags are much cheaper than the cotton ones. I'll gladly re-order these and happily enjoy my cups of tea with them from now on.

**Q: Where are these manufactured?**
A: The tea bags are made in China.

**Q: Are these organic?**
A: These are organic, made from natural wood pulp. I also have tea bags made out of hemp. All are good choices but I make a lot of tea. When in a hurry these are my go to.

**Q: Will these bags withstand boiling for hours for soup base?**
A: I would say no for that you need to get some cheesecloth probably double it cut it to size you want fill it with your herbs and tie it with some cotton twine. These are much more delicate for steeping only can not withstand boiling.

**Q: Can these be heat sealed?**
A: I would not attempt to heat seal as the bags are like paper. They have a good draw string at the top. I would think if you wanted to store multiple filled bags the draw string would be adaquate.

These bags are the perfect size for a single mug of tea or a small pot. They're easy to use, just put some pinches of loose tea and/or herbs, and sinch the top. I only wish that the strings were cotton so they are easier to compost. It still saves me time over cleaning a metal strainer.
