It was old, inexpensive and plastic. But it's light and handy. I considered buying another light one, but figured it would be $50 cheaper to repair and one less thing for the landfill. In hindsight, if you're looking to avoid repair frustrations and challenges, and you're dealing with fixing an inexpensive wheelbarrow, a new one might be the best value and save a little time. I actually have a much heavier metal wheelbarrow. If a part on that broke, this kit might deliver consideable savings over replacement. Compared to other options this kit is a good value. You get almost all the parts and hardware - except for the handles - for the price of what others charge for only the legs without any hardware. You'll be reusing the handles so if they're not in great shape that might also weigh in favor of replacing rather than repairing a light, inexpensive wheelbarrow. The hardware is important. The existing nuts and bolts were completely rusted. I broke two free using a powered ratchet; the other two had to be cut with a hacksaw. Annoying. After that, the repair was smooth enough. Unlike other reviews, my wheelbarrow holes lined up well enough if I reused my existing (slightly rotten wedges) and avoided the new plastic wedges. In the end, I used only the two legs and brace and saved the rest. If you're anticipating a complete overhaul expect some hardware and fit challenges.
