The net is attached to the glas in the portlight with suction cup or a magnet (with a taped metal plate on the glas). The suction cup or magnet is attached to the glas with a cord. The cord is running through an eyelet in the bug screen. You use the cord to press the bug screen against the opening of the portlight. The bug screen just need to be larger than the opening of the portlight to "seal" the opening and prevent mosquitoes to come in. You don't need to drill or make work on your boat. Just a attach the suction cup or the magnet and you are set to go. /Per **Q: How many screens in the package** A: It’s a bundle kit of two screens. You do have to make sure the screen stays centered on the port. It can slip on the slippery frame of the port. It would be great if there was a thin rubber gasket on the inside of the screen so it wouldn’t slip. The screen when properly placed keeps the bugs out. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Advertised as a 2-pack - I only received one *by M***Z on June 17, 2021* Seems OK - overpriced for what it is. Will need to test it on the boat though. If they send another one to make it right and these work as advertised I'll update the review.Update - 2 days later. Amazon made it right by sending an replacement package which is great. I tested the application on our boat and find this a bit lacking in execution. When the port light is open up all the way, the tension on the screen is such that it pulls the screen up and doesn't cover the opening all the way. So you have to only open the port a little bit in order to get the tension correct, but then it won't let much air in, so I'm not sure Im going to keep these.
