But this one just doesn't cut it.Pros:-It exists - there don't seem to be many hard-copy trail maps of this area, and no others on Amazon-It's waterproof (though I haven't tested that yet)-It's a step up from a USGS quad map if you want to hike, highlighting trails, campgrounds, no campfire zones, and the likeCons:-It doesn't have trail mileage - a notable flaw in any trail map-Its 40' contour interval is very tight, making it hard to assess elevations without a magnifying glass-The color scheme makes it even harder to assess elevations, with contour lines blending in to the green color used for forests-It's just ugly - the colors are basic and blech, fonts are mostly unattractive, and there's no shading. Some trail maps I would be happy to put on a wall or spend time exploring their fine details (see Tom Harrison maps). This is one I will only break out when I absolutely need to figure out where I'm going (and then estimate mileage myself and hope I can read the elevation).Pro/Con: The map has a lot of information in the margins, including wilderness regulations, leave no trace, and wilderness safety. It may be useful to some, but I'd personally rather have that information someplace else and make the map 20% smaller.Adventure Maps Inc. may have a better map of the area.
