A: Less than a half inch.

**Q: Can you use this on carpet flooring?**
A: This product is wall mounted. You need to pay attention to the distance from the bottom of the door panel to the carpet.

**Q: Will it work using the wheel and post on a standard 1 3/4" door?  The picture says 1 5/8" but I can't believe a mfg wouldn't design it for a standard**
A: The max clearance of that is 1 5/8". We suggest you choose another combination to fit 1 3/4"door. The max clearance differs from 1 5/8" to 3 1/2".
