An Explosive Adventure that Tastefully Expands the Boundaries of the Hotwife Genre
A textbook marriage in cruise control. A long awaited date in an upscale hotel restaurant to escape hypnotic marital bliss. An upgrade from baggy t-shirt and leggings to dusted-off little black dress that unleashes a stunning pair of stems, reminiscent of the couple’s initial encounter many years ago. A refreshing sexual tingle from a mildly exhibitionist kiss at the bar. Andy’s 6th sense in proudly detecting third-party admiration of his still hot wife, Stephanie, who continues to underestimate herself as the girl next door instead of a jaw dropping brunette who continues to improve with age. The stage is set for the innocent rekindling of a solid relationship. But don’t open the curtain on that stage just yet.Enter Dez, the crushworthy eye candy from Stephanie’s workplace. A bit out of place in this venue, but still a beacon of attention in cornrow braids, flawless dark skin and megawatt smile. Joined in a booth by a well dressed white couple that, at first blush, seems to be the water that never could mix with this alpha’s oil. But mixing they are, with the husband taking a front row seat for an emerging act on a much different stage. From their perch at the bar, Stephanie and Andy keep a close eye on the booth. Already fond of spicy movies to stoke their marital fire at home, they seize the voyeuristic opportunity to enjoy another delicious sexual tingle from their speculation as to the script of this unanticipated live performance. A decadent prophecy soon fulfilled by Dez and his overly-coiffed blonde conquest, with a boldly exhibitionist kiss and disappearing hands that generate a plume of sexual heat and elevate the booth to center stage.Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Dez, his bold actions as the alpha have increased to white hot the renewed fire smoldering between Stephanie and Andy, culminating in an exit stage left that offers a closer glimpse of Stephanie’s fascination with her seemingly innocent office crush. The paths of the couples cross as Dez and his blonde playmate head to their hotel room for the next act, while Andy and Stephanie are being seated for a dinner in which food will be the last thing on their minds. An awkward initial greeting evolves into subtle flirting between Dez and Stephanie, whose body language betrays her jealousy. Stephanie's flirty behavior and jealous tinge are not lost on Andy who, curiously, does not seem to be bothered. As the couples part ways, Andy and Stephanie are left to ponder whether formerly sacrosanct lines no longer may be so inviolate. Has this clandestine encounter marked the beginning of Stephanie's journey from a "hot wife" who is an innocent office flirt to a "hotwife" who falls under the powerful spell of an irresistible bull? Perhaps Stephanie will learn never to say never . . .Kirsten McCurran lays masteful groundwork for an explosive adventure that tastefully expands the boundaries of the hotwife genre. In an immersion of torturous emotional tension laced with sexual heat, the reader is presented with a voyeurstic opportunity - much like that afforded to Andy and Stephanie - to take a seat at the bar and await the next live performance. Only this time, Andy and Stephanie emerge as the white couple headed for the proverbial booth. Should they make room for Dez??? Will Stephanie audition for a role to perform with (and for) him as her lead??? Will another plume of sexual heat elevate the booth to center stage again???Stephanie’s Hotwife Seduction is another amazing effort by Kirsten McCurran, who has mastered the art of depicting the agonizing, yet delicious, dynamic between a committed couple and the wife's bad boy suitor. Please keep up the great writing, Kirsten - it's ALWAYS worth the wait! AND job well done to Kenny Wright, for another amazing cover!

A Consensual Affair
I will start by saying that this novel is, in my opinion, the author’s best work to date. The best way I can describe it is that it is McCurran’s Hot Dates, Gentrified and Kenny Wright’s Training To Love It all rolled into one but more from the female perspective. The author combines some elements of the very popular Dominant Alpha Male romance novels that women are so fond of with the hotwife genre which I find very intriguing. As such it is probably the ideal paradigm of the hotwife scenario from the female perspective and may appeal more to the female sexual psychology rather than just being a story about a wife fulfilling her husband’s fantasies and appealing more to male readers with the fantasy. I would be interested to see reviews from females who do not typically read in this genre. The author also did a tremendous job getting into the psychology of the characters giving this a very realistic feel: the worries, the fears, the questions, the anxiety and excitement are all very real things a married couple would experience in their progression giving the readers the opportunity to experience it vicariously.I also like that the couple are kind to each other (mostly) and loving and appear to come out stronger in the end with what appears to be a HEA. I think I would have preferred a different ending though. Maybe one where she comes off the high and out of the fog of the affair and realizes in a new light just how important her love for her husband is compared to her dirty fun but maybe that will come after a crisis in a sequel. Maybe I’m a bit of a romantic.I have to say that for me, when reading these stories I’m always a little uncomfortable when one of the parties is uneasy. In this case it was Andy. Reading this I felt his confusion and anguish and putting myself in his shoes it would be too much for me. I just feel like that if one person is not comfortable enough to participate the couple shouldn’t do it. The journey should be a shared experience to be healthy. This story has more of a cuckold edge to it. Even though Stephanie worries about him constantly and mostly respects his feelings, his assent does not seem enthusiastic and maybe a bit pressured by his fear of resentment and losing her. This could have been very damaging in the long-term in that he could be the one to develop resentment towards her. She takes that for granted a bit. Also, it's not stated directly in the story but Andy would have to be worried that if he called things off that she could go covert and do it behind his back. He would know how bad she wanted it. So there's a little bit of pressure on him to agree. There's also the issue with Andy developing a hairtrigger issue when they talk about the possibilities. This is kind of a trap for Andy. Stephanie interprets this as him being very turned on about it which it probably at least partly is, but it's mostly due to his anxiety about the situation. So at the same time that his body is betraying him by sending miscommunication by body language it's also making her lover appear more attractive by comparison. I take it as a further sign of his anxiety.I also didn’t like the “white lies” (a half-truth is a full lie) and constant rule breaking. He trusted her with a tremendous freedom and her lack of responsibility with that bothers me. I know, people aren’t perfect and that is how it is likely to go in real life and it also makes for good stories. I also know that the loss of control is and self-acting is “hot” for many people and to be honest, in many ways it’s hot to me. Reading this made me as confused as Andy!In the end, this story is basically one of a consensual affair. The husband is aware of it and simply passively allowing it to happen. Although there is no real cheating or major deceit, the wife is having an extramarital relationship of an intimate and romantic nature, getting to experience the high of the new relationship energy and come home to her normal life and loving husband while he remains faithful. This is not an A MFM Ménage Romance where the husband participates with assistance in ravaging his wife or a story of a wife being submissive to two men (which is what it seems the wife really wants). Nor is it a story of a wife fulfilling a husband’s watching fantasy by being “his personal porn star” and doing what he desires to see for him. It is a story of a woman becoming sexually confident and getting what SHE wants for herself and her husband allowing and even encouraging it and maybe getting a little something out of it too. I really appreciate McCurran’s exploration of how the hotwife fantasy could he hot from the wife perspective.

Very Hot!
Very hot and a good read until the end. Unbelievable to me that Andy capitulated as he did. More interesting to learn how Steph deals with Dez moving on after she gave herself to him so completely.
