Hongso GZ550 Replacement Fireplace Blower Fan KIT for Continental, Napoleon, Rotom HB-RB58

Q: My fireplace has a two prong electrical outlet available. Does this blower com with an adapter from three prong to two, with a ground wire?

My fireplace had the same issue. The blower installation kit doesn't include an adapter, but I ordered one on Amazon and it was a pretty inexpensive fix. There is a grounding wire with the install kit so it needs to be properly grounded. I've had no issues with the adapter or with the blower since I installed them.

Q: Can you bypass the thermostat?

Yes just wire straight through without it. I did that to test the fan first. But you will need to strip the wire and get something to splice it.

Q: Will this fit the Napoleon gds20 gas stove?

I installed mine in a Napoleon fireplace

Q: Is this for wood stove inserts ?

It all depends on your setup. It is not intended for an area where it will see . It is not a circulating fan my a make up fan. But if it is part of a forced air system that blows cool air over a firebox it is fine. It only has a limited positive pressure so the total flow will drop significantly if your system has a lot of resistance due to bends and such. I used it on a gas log insert to cool the firebox and to force heated air out into the room. But it was a little lacking in total CFM so I switched to a bigger, already shrouded unit.
