New Balance Men's Made 990 V3 Sneaker, Grey, 12 XW US

These shoes are being sold at clearance price thru amazon. This shoe model is no longer available at the New Balance store. I had 2 pairs previously of this exact model which I paid full price at store. I now purchased another 2 pair and saved $60 on each thru amazon. The new model has been tweak modified. I rotate shoes each day for my workout. Recommend any new shoe model be tested at store. You can validate price difference of store (new model)/amazon (old model) for savings that I have stated. This model is better constructed than lesser priced models (this clearance price is an exception to the saying "you get what you pay for").New balance store offers 30 day dissatisfaction return policy for any reason. I have been exclusively using NB shoes for many years because of the great construction and comfort of a proper shoe fit (very important for running shoes).This is a great constructed shoe at normal price. Incredible deal at this price.

I used to love NB shoes, now I don't think I'll ever buy them again. The quality just keeps going down, and this latest shoe was no exception. My main issue with this, aside from the terrible wad of fabric at the bottom of the tongue that presses on your foot, is the fact that the shoes aren't even equal to in sizing. On the left shoe, the tongue appears to be around a quarter to a half in shorter than the right shoe. If you try to tug the tongue up at all, it just buckles the bottom part of the laces. Meanwhile, the right shoe has the lace locks placed higher up the sides than the left shoe.

I don't remember the exact number of the previous model but this is basically the same shoe. A few slight design differences. I had probably 10 pairs of the previous version. This slightly different model is no different. I will buy these each time I need new sneakers.Interestingly enough, once these have been worn out at the gym and don't look nice enough to wear with decent clothes, I started using them for yard work type stuff. They are surprisingly durable under tough conditions. They hold up well enough that I feel guilty throwing them away. They look awful but are still very functional so I now have a bunch of them in the garage that my wife and I argue about throwing out.And I am size 15 so shoe shopping is always a nightmare. These have solved that

This is the third pair of 990 New Balance shoes that I have bought, and though expensive for an athletic shoe, they are worth it. I am a fairly large guy and have always been athletic (high school and college football player, distance running, weight lifting, etc.) and served in the military for over 20 years. During my very active life, I developed Plantar Fasciitis years ago on my last deployment and my left arch appears to be falling as I age. I have to be careful what shoes I wear due to the abuse and wear and tear my feet have taken over the years. I was doing better with these shoes and my expensive custom inserts, then I started wearing Nike running shoes with my inserts about a year ago. My feet began to hurt even more over time, and I thought my feet were just getting worse with age as the pain in my left foot began to spread into my left ankle, making me think I was simply “going lame”. Well, I ordered a new pair of Nikes trainers at Shoe Carnival and while waiting for them to arrive, I went back to wearing my newest pair of New Balance 990s with my inserts, and within a day, my condition started improving. My new Nikes arrived and I swapped inserts and wore them around the house. Immediately I felt more pain in my feet, so very shortly I swapped back and the pain lessened. I have now been wearing my old pair of New Balance 990s for 5 days since the original swap back, and my feet feel the best they have felt in over a year. I returned the Nike shoes and ordered a new pair of New Balance 990s that day from Amazon because Shoe Carnival did not have them in my size and could only order them in Grey and I wanted Navy Blue. In a nutshell, if you have foot issues that require more support, or are an active person of larger than average size, I highly recommend New Balance 990s. I will never buy another shoe as long as these are made and the quality control stays high. I have not received my new ones yet, and if my new pair is not up to the standards of my previous two pairs, I will come back and amend this review to reflect that.

Made in the USA goodness. Break in period is nil. Bought a pair to have something besides work boots to wear. Lightweight and comfortable. Thought I could keep them nice, but on the very first day I wore them my daughter infomed me I still had them on after mowing the lawn. *shrug. Bought a second pair in 14 6E that sits in the box for when I go someplace nice. Haven't used them yet. I don't own a Corvette.

New Balance now makes 2E as the old D--if you hold up old models to new V1 to V3 in this instance, the V3 is noticeably a narrower toe box. WAY smaller. I have a woman's A heel & a B foot, but I require a big toebox to run in or be on my feet for 12 + hours. 2D are tight on my B feet. Gimme a break! There is a chorus of us saying this. Otherwise the model M990v3 is supportive for flat feet/overpronation and structurally good--a little more give at the toe than I would like. Look good, not pleather like almost all of their structured/motion control models. I would love them if they were actually a D rather than a B posing as a D.

REVISED REVISION: To its great credit, Amazon has agreed to take the shoes back and issue a full refund, even though I'm well past the return date. Hey, New Balance, bring back the 992s!REVISED REVIEW: After wearing this for a couple of months, I've concluded it's not at all a worthy successor to the 992s I'd worn for many years. Even though I bought it in the same size as the 992s, it doesn't fit as well. In fact, it caused me so much pain (at the toe and along the arch) I went to a doctor, assuming it was my foot. But then I switched back to the 992s, and the pain went away.Would return if I weren't outside Amazon's return window for these shoes.New Balance, please bring back the 992s.

In my younger days I used to be a group fitness instructor. It was hard on the feet and a good pair of shoes was essential. After going through just about all of the other big name brands, I found New Balance to be the best, most supportive and comfortable sports shoes out there. So glad I bought them. It's like walking on air. Expensive but not more so than other name brands.

Wanted to try a different style of running shoe! While this make is a bit more expensive than others they're worth the extra dosh that you pay! These were a bit cheaper than most other outlets, however, and quick delivery!

I've bought this model for several years great show for overpronators.

I think this is the best pair of shoes i have ever owned. Not too modern as far as the design is concerned, but quality - made and european made. It is like being bare - foot. What is more, I will never pay a lot of money for cheap chinese - made products if I can find a european made alternative.

I love this product that I use during the week end when I like to dress casual but at the same time I like to be elegant taking care of any detail of my look.I strongly recommend this product to whose of you that love sportivity and elegance at the same time.
