Q: Can Velcro be added to the back instead of ironing and Sewing ?

Of course! I would still sew on the Velcro however because if you use the adhesive type the patch itself could still pull away if using on a garment etc. If its just for a wall mounted project, the adhesive Velcro strips should work well.
