Amazing
I was so happy to get this complete series in one continuous book for only 99c. I have always loved CD Reiss's writing style & darkish subject matter, never disappointed in a book by her. I was very curious about Jonathan Drazen (& his sad situation in it) while reading Theresa & Antonio's wonderful, crazy series recently & snapped up his story as soon as I saw the complete set on sale.I immediately fell for that hot, dominating Jonathan from the moment he stepped into Monica's path in the restaurant he owned & where she worked as waitstaff. Monica was a hot mess through much of the series, almost out of money at any given moment as she tries to make it as the talented but unknown, soulful singer she was. With her best friend, Gabby, a suicidal pianist, her other best friend & former lover, Darren the drummer & Gabby's brother, they were the band, Spoken not Stirred. There was alot of drama & never a dull moment as Monica & Jonathan's totally different worlds collide. Jonathan is still hung up on & is still in love with his cheating ex-wife & tells Monica he can never give his heart to another. She doesn't know why she is wasting her time with him if that's how he feels & shouldn't she be working on her career instead of waging a losing battle with Jonathan? His ex-wife doesn't want him back but really doesn't want anyone else to have him either..she is a complete bitch! There are a lot of secrets that Jonathan is hiding from Monica, but will she discover what they are? Will they make her run they other way? There is much push & pull between the 2 main characters as they break up to make up & break up again. At one point you can see how honestly invested Jonathan becomes in their potential relationship but Monica keeps pulling away even though she has strong feelings for him, she keeps running away from them. These 2 seem like they should be soulmates, the signs are all there but what will fate decide for them, what obstacles will they face, together or apart. Will his secrets, his family, her career ambitions, his dominance, his ex or hers (2 of them!) cause so much trouble that its impossible to have the trust each needs to move forward together? This series was very long, almost like watching a miniseries on TV but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way! No waiting for the next book because it was all here to love & enjoy on a binge, which is how glued to it I was. I LOVED Jonathan's patient (believe it or not!), insightful, intelligent, dominant but sexy & tender nature with the flame throwing, dramatic & sometimes coldish Monica. She grew on me but it took far into the book to get me there. The Drazen family is something to behold for sure with Jonathan's 7 older sisters & him being the youngest & only boy, WOW! I'm looking forward to the story of oldest sister, Margie's story, dark horse that she is. I adored how much she loved her baby brother & was willing to go the extra mile for his happiness. There were some really sad moments where the tissues had to be handy. They were explained so realistically with how hopeless & frightened someone might feel in that actual life crisis & what feelings followed it. This series is a wholehearted RECOMMEND for me. I LOVED IT, sad it's over now. I hope other books lets this one live on alittle longer! Hard to let it go!

A perfect match
I feel like I've read almost all of this series and every single book was excellent. The character development is so believable. The women just as strong as the men, on equal ground. CD Reiss is one of the best writers in this genre of books. She has her own style, she is robust and descriptive. Her stories are clearly on an elevated level beyond superficial good guy/bad guy good girl/bad girl drama and sex. I've read this whole series and not one whiner in all the series. Her writing keeps my interest and doesn't degrade the genre.Jonathan & Monica have to fight to commit and stay true to who they are. Their honesty helps them survive. Reiss is so good at creating both female and male perspectives, it makes her stories stronger. The only negative about reading CD Reiss is that her books set the bar so high, her writing is so good when I begin a less well written or developed book I very quickly lose interest and don't finish it. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited. And thanks to CD Reiss for being so prolific 🙂

Shines a light behind “SM”
A very interesting perspective on BDSM, with an emphasis on SM. Many reviewers were upset with the level of violence in the bedroom. I found myself very sympathetic and even empathetic to what Jon & Monica experienced. I’m not signing up for the level of pain inflicted, but Ms Reiss has shed light on the feelings and circumstances of this practice to the point that I no longer consider it “bad.” It’s wrapped up in a wonderful love story...starts with sex and evolves.Submission was the best of the 3 books IMO, probably because I love to read how people fall in love.Domination was my 2nd choice as Monica spreads her wings. The side plot of her ex added another layer in their relationship and their personalities. Jon might be a bit too obsessive for my taste, but I understood WHY he was like that. And it only matters that Monica is ok with it. Connection was the weakest of the bunch. The title implies how their connection gets stronger, but truly half of this book is about Monica worrying about Jon in the hospital. The last half shows some of that famous connection but even the last plot point about kids seemed forced.Overall a fantastic piece of work!

If I could give this infinite stars...
This book was pure joy to read, my review can not give it justice. Reiss writes with such depth emotionally, psychologically, sexually. Often I am left feeling like romance books have too much dialogue and not enough sexual heat or sometimes to much sex and not enough depth of anything else...Reiss gives you both in balance. I loved all of the characters. All I can say is that you will be sates while reading thia story and after...I don't even feel like I read more about them..ans that's why I love that the author gave it in one book...the completel submission and loved the price. Too often I feel like author in this genre give you an incomplete book, only to hook you with the next in the series just so you have to spend money. Reiss isn't favorite author in the genre after reading quite a few last year and half. Well worth the read. I am going to go get the other Drazen stories NOW!

Almost there
I loved these books, Johnathan is not a regular CEO without heart, he blocked his feelings, but for a good reason. Actually I liked the strong Monica, but her history didn't convince and her past relationships. Is a good book, but in fact it could be only two books.

Brilliant
Absolutely loved this, thought it was brilliant definitely one of those books u read over and over again. Characters were great, although some seemed to have not been mentioned in the last part but there was that much happening took me a while to realise they hadn’t been mentioned. Great book definitely deserved 5/5 rating on goodreads

We have a problem here
First thing first: ONE star is not for the story because this story is worth 20 stars at least. I’ve already read it in Submission/Domination/Connection and I love it so much that I can’t even remember how many times I’ve read it so far. The problem is that I bought this book nonetheless (even if I had the previous books) because It was said that it would contain the bonus novella Beat, the last epilogue. But “Surprise! Surprise!”🤬 there isn’t any! When I read in the reviews that “the bonus novella Beat is astonishing” I expect to find it in the book. I’m disappointed, really, REALLY disappointed and a little bit angry as well. I didn’t get what I paid for and I wasted my money!!! Still, I highly recommend this book to those who haven’t read it yet because Jonathan and Monica’s story is beautiful, superb, terrific. It’s one of my “top 5”!
