CliffsNotes Praxis I: PPST, 4th Edition (Cliffsnotes Testprep) 4th Edition

This is a good review book. The CD comes with 4 practice tests which are nice, and it gives good explanations for answers to the test. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the essay writing review. The example topics they give are way off from what the topics will really be like on the test. I'd say pair this book up with  The Praxis Series Official Guide . The official guide will give you a better understanding of what topics will be on the writing section. Using both books, I passed the Praxis I on the first try.

Future teachers taking this test will be a bit nervous taking the Praxis I. I know I was and this book helped me study for the exam. If anything just knowing the format and what type of questions they will ask really helps. It's different from the SAT, so don't make that mistake, and this book will help you differentiate the Praxis from it. The included CD is nice, but I find that a physical copy is the best way to go. I looked around at the other books available and decided this one looked the best and I don't regret it.

Came in 2 days per Prime shipping. The book was brand new and exactly as advertised. Could have been packaged better but no worries. My wife is using this book on the daily. She said it is the best for Praxis 1 that she has found. Everything they advertise is what you get. It has her feeling well prepared for the hard test. Can never have enough practice tests in there, though. Could use some more.

I am studying for the Praxis to enter an alternative path to teaching. I have been out of school for three years, and needed a refresher on basic math/grammar principles. This book has really helped me review for the test. There are 4 full length practice exams, but the review sections have many more questions. There is also a "pre-test" before each review section to determine your strengths and weaknesses.

This is the third PRAXIS prep book we have purchased from CliffsNotes in the past several years, and just like before, we have found that it overprepares you for the exam, making it easy to pass and even achieve certificates of excellence. It is important to save the practice tests until the end of your studying so that you get a fairly accurate reading of what you need to study more in order to be successful. Both my husband and myself have received great scores on all of our PRAXIS exams thanks to this series! We will continue to order and recommend these books.

This CD had so many poorly written questions, bad grammar, and poor logic in every test area that it should be a crime to sell it. I found 5 wrong Math answers, 8 wrong Reading answers, 8 wrong Writing (multiple choice) answers on Practice Test One alone. Whoever wrote these questions needs to go back to college to learn how to properly use the English language. Most of the questions are unclear, or use poor grammar. Many of the Reading and Writing answers are ungrammatical. In other words, they are awkward and do not follow the rules of American Standard English. I should know, I am an Integrated Language Arts Major and the author of seven books. I have also proofread and edited other author's books. I would have never approved this book (or put my name on it) they way that it is written. The Math problem answers defy logic. Maybe the author was under the influence of something when they wrote this book and the test questions. I rate this book less than a one out of ten.

Although this product arrived a few weeks later than the promised shipping date. This book is a excellent study tool help me with my upcoming Praxis exam as well as the CD if I choose to take the Praxis online.

This book is pretty straight forward on what you need to know for the Praxis PPST. I studied and was able to pass all of my exams the very first time. A good crash course for those of us who have been out of school for a while!
