Good sound but stick seems unsafe
This instrument has a good sound and seem quite durable so I'm giving it 5 stars. However, I immediately replaced the stick it came from with a larger stick. This one is very small and pointy and seems like it could be potentially dangerous depending on the child who is using it.

Perfect acoustic toy for campfire songs.
Purchased this for our musical box at our camp near the lake. Occasionally we will get the guitar and other instruments out and this little item allows the non-musical campers to join in as well. Stick that comes with it is pointless, just use a regular drumstick.

Excellent ribbed block sound and a solid value
Does exactly what I expected from a ribbed block. Not too small (in my opinion) and adds a distinct flavor to audio recordings. Great value with a traditional design.

It's ok....
Meh, makes an ok sound, paint looks nice, but wow, super thin wood and just feels so fragile, doesn't store easily, nowhere for stick to go - just a so-so item. Probably would not buy again, BUT, it isn't horrible and the price point is about right for what you get.

Pretty.
Very pretty. It is a gift for a young lady who says she cannot play any instrument. This should be something she can play!

Easy to handle
I like the size - elementary students will be using the guiro for a performance. It is light weight and easy to handle. The sound is great!
