Q: Does the roof keep the seed dry or does alot of seed get wasted when it rains or snows?

If the rain comes perfectly straight, it might stay sorta dry. But it's pretty open to the weather. Easy to clean, though. I just put the minimum seed in if the weather might be wet.

Q: It says easy to clean. Is there drainage in the bottom?

There are some very small holes in the bottom. This feeder is very easy to clean. I use it for only freeze-dried mealworms. My birds love it - bluebirds, cardinals, finches, chickadees and even a woodpecker now and then. I do get starlings and I chase them off when they start fighting off other birds trying to get a bite.

Q: Would this feeder be appropriate for feeding mealworms to bluebirds?

Yes it definitely would. I put mealworms in mine at first and they were eaten by other birds - I didn’t catch the bluebirds’ attention soon enough before the live bug population exploded

Q: Is the blue a bright blue or more Navy?

The name of the color is called patriot blue. It is a fairly medium shade of blue not being overly bright or a darker navy.
