Q: Does this sensor have enough sensitivity to detect the ground geomagnetic field indicative of aurora?

Sorry, can't help you there. I can tell you very roughtly it's about 10x more sensitive than traditional hall sensors and 10x less sensitive than expensive magnetic dip sensors. I've still yet to test my project with very weak fields.
