Used for a costume
Bought this to make a Ghostbusters Proton pack. It served its purpose and had no problem with the quality, pliability and strength of it. I cannot comment on what it's actual function is intended for.

Great to creat your own cables

Fine for 40 pin, not great if you want to separate it.
It's 40 pin ribbon cable. It works well for 40 pin connections. If you want to split the wires, they do have a clear coating that means these don't split nicely, so if you're looking for ribbon cable that you can tear apart to make your own 4 pin etc. cables, look elsewhere.
