I have a 36 x 48 dry erase board that i will do presentations on. is this sturdy enough to write on? how wide is the tray to sit the board on?

Would it hold a 24x36 frame?

Hi, First, I knew these were cheap easels before I bought them and didn't expect much, which was a good thing because they were actually below my even, lowest expectations. I bought just one of these "E-Z Tabletop" versions and two of the "US Art Supply "Exhibitor" Black Steel Tabletop" Easels. All three were identical in most respects except the US Art Supply versions had extra plastic height adjustment stops for the rests. All 3 collapsed under their own weight, (Seriously!). I’m a retired machinist and had already figured out what I was going to do to modify these easels. HOWEVER, I also bought one “Table Easel 22 inch CONDA Natural Wood Artist Tripod Easel”, (in Amazon’s link, here: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IR50UO0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). That easel was incredibly better and exceeded all my expectations. It cost about $12. (Prime shipping), and was constructed with surprisingly high quality materials. No plastics, a very nice, finished, hardwood, and the hardware was very good quality as well. I plan to buy those easels from now on and I strongly recommend them. They don’t come assembled and even though they include instructions, you really don’t need them, (just looking at the pictures would enough). Be sure to understand that there is a ‘front-side’ and a ‘back-side’ to this easel and you must make sure to assemble it with that in mind. That wooden easel The wooden easel would look good even with undersized pictures in it and you can bet it would hold a 36” x 50” gallery wrap, or a 20” x 30”, glass framed picture, with NO PROBLEM! It’s a very stylish looking piece and looked great just sitting there without a picture on it, really! Back to this E-Z Tabletop metal easel: "YES", they will hold a 24" x 36" gallery wrap. My image was a 24" x 38" foam panel mount, which was then glued to 1.625” wide wooden frame, (the combined thickness of the panel mount image and wooden frame was about 1.75”). The weight of the completed assembly is easily 1.5 times the weight of a GW of the same size. Nevertheless, in order for it to hold that picture, I used a razor/box-cutter knife and carved the two plastic rests so that the entire picture & frame width fit snugly in place when I slid and pressed the picture down in place of the rests. FYI, the US Art Supply easels have metal rests and I had to do considerably more to those in order for them to work. Hope that helps, Rich
