Excellent battery box- strong, functional, even looks good. I used this to make a battery tote for my generators, so I can have the battery trickle charging inside in order to increase battery life. I connected a 10 AWG SAE cable to the battery and passed it through one of several openings in the box. Each of my generators have the same connection so I can quickly and easily hook up the generator I need to start, and take it back inside when done. I already had a nice handle with a wide, strong Velcro strap that came from a hose or something. I also ended up putting two small pieces of gorilla tape over the top vents in the box as it is already sufficiently vented otherwise, and covering them will keep the box clean and dry. Despite what some others have said, I have found the strap to be quite adequate, but I assume it makes a difference how you thread it through the buckle. Doing it the way I show it in the photos, I’ve had no trouble at all, and don’t anticipate having any.

Very high quality battery box. It is robust and durable. I have it mounted on a shelf on my trailer tow bar to supply power to the electric brakes and electric winch. It was easy to fit and is made of thick tough plastic. For me I put duct tape over the vent holes as there is ample ventilation via the cable holes and it kept out the rain (see photo). I would recommend and would buy again if I needed another one.

The box is good, the strap is not good. Use screws to hold it in place.

Purchased 2 for pontoon boat batteries which are not covered otherwise. No top venting so keeps rain out

Great, durable US-made box. I've used these for many, many sump pump installations, trailer and camper battery installations and on numerous hot rods and dune buggies over the years. I've had batteries literally split, blow up or leak and it's nice to have a bulletproof battery box to contain the mess. Highly recommended to protect your boat, race car, hot rod or basement floor!

Used this to replace an old box on our trailer. Fit the battery with room for cables to exit without interfering with a tight fit for the lid. Really happy with the sturdiness and that the strap actually holds tight and locks down without the slippage I usually experience with this type of strap. A little pricey, but very happy with the product.

If you are expecting a complete battery box, complete with lid and strap as shown in the product images DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I have received 2 items now both just the box with no lid or strap. False advertising and over priced for half the item l
