Region 2 for and American Address No disclaimer Why!
Received the product. Highly disappointed. The DVD are for region 2. There is nothing in the description about the DVDs are from Region 2 and cannot be played in The USA. Why would you not have a disclaimer stating about the region code. Now I have to box it up and send back. Plus I an disabled and cannot walk. I have to find someone to go to the Post Office and pay for a return for a mistake which is not my fault. The picker who picked the item should have realised not to send a DVD to an American Address if it could nor be played in America. There are other reviews that state they received the item and were able to play DVD with no Problems. Why!

WARNING: REGION 2!
Great quality, giving me all the laughs I remember, but it's a region 2 DVD set. This means you either need a region free DVD player or a computer with a region free player such as VLC (thankfully free). Ok, I'm going back to watching this series. I needed the laughs.

Great Show, Great Boxed Set
Love this show. Have been playing and replaying the discs. DVD set arrived when expected, and the quality of each DVD is first rate.

Great show. Very happy with this.
I love this show! My only complaint was that I had to get a non- regional DVD player to watch it but that wasn’t a big deal.

needs clearer description
I would not have ordered them if i had noticed that they were made for European dvd players. These should not be sold in the us unless it is advertised as European only dvd compatable. Also; after sending them back you lose a good portion of your money; intentional outcome or no?

Hours and hours of vintage non-PC fun
I have to confess that my inner comedy snob was somewhat surprised at how much I've been enjoying this dumb dated fun. My wife was the one keen to get this set, and I just acquiesced. Now that we're watching it, I must admit that it's great fun. It's hard to imagine anything like this being made quite like this now, as the basic scenario/premise is so old fashioned as to be almost non-existent, and most of the bawdy humour and simplistic social stereotypes wouldn't get past the PC committee. The key thing, and the series saving grace (brothers... boom boom!), is that it really is funny. So, hours of vintage non-PC fun. Love it!

Classic long running sitcom
Brilliant piece of British SitCom history.Based around Grace Brothers Dept Store, the battle of the sexes, between male and female clothing Dept., while constantly fighting daft management choices. Some classic escapades. Staff not being as they try to project themselves as..Mrs Slocombe constantly making referrence to her pussy at home as an excuse to get out of after hours meetings.Young Mr Grace, Store owner, who is well past retirement, even oggling young secretaries around the store, while suffering from a weak heart.Film based on the SitCom was also released.John Inman plays the every camp Male Department assistant. One of the best roles he ever played

Are You Being Served? Serves the audience endless hours of hilarity.
The complete Package really is a great release. Are You Being Served? is great, filled endless innuendo, hilarity and mischief. The Pilot episode is only shown in black and white on this release where as there is a colour version on the separate series releases released years ago by the BBC. The comedy stays strong throughout the first 5 series with episodes such as Camping In, His and Hers, Big Brother, German Week, Shoulder to Shoulder, Christmas Crackers, Fire Practice, Take Over and It pays to advertise being amongst the funniest of the series. With the departure of Mr Grainger the series dips slightly but still manages to keep the audience laughing, however it is obvious that with the departure of Mr Lucas the comedy does go down hill and becomes more and more outlandish, however the series is still fantastically funny with great episodes like, The Night Club. Overall this series is fantastic and provides the audience with hours of endless comedy!

THE FARCE THAT LAUNCHED A THOUSAND QUIPS
TIMELESS CLASSIC COMEDY as fresh and funny now as when it was first shown all those years ago, with a perfectly cast team who are totally believable in their roles. This is from TV comedy's peak period that produced Dads Army and It Ain't Half Hot Mum, all still funnier than anything since. The catchphrases of R U Being Served were brilliant and entered everyone's daily language, I've counted 9 so far, including such gems as "I'm Free / They'll ride up with wear / They are being worn long this year". Then there's Mrs Slocombe who's always being "unanimous", with her hilarious tales or her 'pussy' causing Wendy Richard to struggle to keep a straight face. There must be some terrific out-takes somewhere.Wonderful stuff. In the words of young Mr Grace (old Mr Grace doesn't get about much): You've All Done Very Well!

Gentle situation comedy
I am thoroughly enjoying watching episodes of "Are You Being Served" again. I am old enough to have watched it when it was first aired. Still funny to those who love old fashioned British farce and music hall humour. No offence was intended (and none taken in those days). Just finished disc 1. Eleven discs to go so should keep me laughing for a good while.
