Q: What makes this specialized for teens? Is it smaller?

It's smaller. Note, I am NOT a teen. I'm an extremely petite adult that hasn't had any children, and the teen size was the only one that fit me. The regular and low cervix were way too wide.

BEWARE This can suction to your cervix & cause extreme pain and difficulty in removal. Read through the 1 star reviews for more information. It caused my cervix to prolapse & was very painful to remove. (I'm not an alarmist by nature & have over a decade of experience with menstrual cups!) It was a horrible experience.

Q: what am I doing wrong? first time using, it flipped upside down. then this morning I woke up soaked in blood with the cup in and right side up.

1. INSERT; 2. GRIP+TUG; 3. PUSH UP (above pubic bone)To insert: I do a 'punch down fold' (creates narrowest point) and then I hold it right below the ring. Once inserted, I do an internal "kegal" grip on it while tugging on the handle to elongate it. This forces the ring to open up around the cervix. Once I let go the ring is open and the bulb is 'suctioned' and slightly inverted at the base. I run my finger around the edge of the ring to make sure my cervix is inside. I push up to make sure the cup is past my pubic bone. Finally: I do another kegal to nestle it..... I struggled with leaking too until I gripped and tugged on the cup.To remove: bare down a bit and while tugging on the cup, sway gently from side to side if the cup is under a lot of suction. You'll get the hang of it! I could forget I have my period if it weren't for my cramps!
