Used twice and died
2nd time we used it, I believe the on switch has shorted out. Will be sending it back.

Great Mag Drill
Mag drill is nice quality and is great if you need to use a regular drill bit in it due to the longer travel distance it has. The price is very fair for what you are buying! I would recommend this drill.

Good tool with a few minor issues.
I’ve used the original Holemaker and the Holemaker 2 for many years, and the Holemaker 3 is a definite improvement. It’s lighter, has a smaller base footprint, and a stronger magnet, making it a superior drill for on site work. It is taller than the previous iterations, and that can cause issues fitting into small spaces, but that scenario is rare. The drill comes with storage spots for allen keys that are necessary for removing bits and general maintenance, which is nice. The case is well thought out and fits the drill well. All in all I am very happy with this tool. Two minor issues I have found are 1) the magnetic base, while strong, is much more tempermental. There are times when it will not engage the drive because the magnetic bond isn’t strong enough, on a surface I know the old Holemaker 2 would have no issues. 2) the valve that controls lubricant flow from the reservoir is plastic and feels cheap. Within a few uses it was leaking cutting fluid. A metal valve like on the Holemaker 2 should be used instead. Other than those two small gripes, I’m very happy with my purchase.
