I was introduced to Philip B. Styling Gel by a hairdresser in Dallas, Texas. Dallas has wide variations in temperature and humidity, wind and humidity. The summer weather usually begins in April and reaches its peak July-September. It's a tough place to live with baby-fine, thinning hair. This product works very well for me, providing the body and shine I desire without the damaging chemical effects of permanent wave solution. With a body perm set on larger rods, the Styling Gel works even better to give my hair lift, definition and staying power. It is rich in natural, botanical products - I think the magic comes from the Sea Weed Extracts of Irish Moss and Vitamin B, both contained in the gel. It leaves your hair still feeling soft and nourished when brushed through, but with increased body and shine. This is an outstanding product! You will do yourself a favor if you add this gel to your daily hair-care routine.

So glad I found this hair gel. There's a lot of gels out there and most of them are less expensive than this is, but I really like it the best. It kind of helps my hair remember it has a little bit of curl, and it also adds body. My hair is thin and very fine, so I'm happy to find something that helps with the volume. It also doesn't dry my hair out or smell weird. It lasts pretty well, too; you don't need a lot for it to work.

Doesn't leave residue or stickiness. Gives great texture as well

This is the ?3rd tube I’ve used. Lasts a long time and gives my hair a little body so it curls rather than nesting.... Love it!

Well, another recent Philip B. product that do anything for my hair. As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, some of their products work great for me while others just don’t do anything. I used this gel as a primer for blow drying. It was lightweight, had a slight scent but just didn’t have any affect on my straight colored hair. It may work for you.

This is the best hair brand ever. Even the basic gel is superior to any others.
