- A disc of music highlighting the linkage between music and melancholy. - Baroque violinist Bjarte Eike conceived of and personally selected the music for this project, performed with his band Barokksolistene and special guests keyboardist Jon Balke and violist Milos Valent. - The disc's music is free of era restrictiveness, ranging from the Renaissance era right through today.
