Lower-price reissue. Original soundtrack for the movie. Review: Wonderful! - Absolutely amazing, and I will say the same for all of the Joe Hisaishi's OSTs that I have bought. I listen to all of them very often, even over the music in my video-games. Review: The Girl Who Fell From the Sky... - `Laputa: Castle in the Sky' is one of the most impressive films released by the animation film studio, Studio Ghibli (not that each isn't special in it's own right), but this film is special for its combination of action and drama, magic and realism. Admittedly `Laputa' isn't my absolute favourite film from Studio Ghibli, but the soundtrack score is definitely one of the best, if not the very best, musical accompaniment to any of the films released by the studio. The opening track, `The Girl who fell from the Sky' has absolutely everything- warmth, excitement, grandeur, tragedy and triumph. Track 2- `Morning in Slag Ravine' again provides various unique combinations of sounds to represent emotions to great affect. Track 6- `Robot Soldier (resurrection/rescue)' is a really bold and exciting track, evoking all the danger and horror of the scene from the film where the Golem runs rampant through the castle stronghold. Track 7 & Track 14- `Carrying You' are different versions of the same song, the first being a choral version, the second sung by a solo vocalist. The latter is the better version in my opinion, because it's more up-tempo and dynamic, but whichever version you prefer it's an excellent song. Track 13- `The Collapse of Laputa' is a stripped-down track with the voices of a choir building to a bittersweet crescendo. (1) The Girl who Fell from the Sky (2) Morning in Slag Ravine (3) A Fun Brawl (Pursuit) (4) Memories of Gondoa (5) Discouraged Pazu (6) Robotic Soldier (Resurrection/Rescue) (7) Carrying You (choral) (8) Sheet'a Decision (9) On the Tiger Moth (10) An Omen of Ruin (11) The Sea of Cloud Underneath the Moonlight (12) Laputa: Castle in the Sky (13) The Collapse of Laputa (14) Carrying You (Azumi Inoue) *These 14 tracks total just over 39 minutes in duration*
