It is literally half a bag more or 50% more. I'm sure the reason it cost $30 more is that all that extra cost is ALL shipping cost. So to break it down for you it is $6 for the bag plus $29 for shipping and handling. So, yes, it will be more cost-beneficial for you to go to your local store and pick up 5-6 bags for the cost of just 1 here.

Keep in mind that mold and fungus on growing media or mulch will go away with sunlight and air circulation.
