The National Needlearts TNNA Books: How To Needlepoint(Revised Edition)

I was advised to pick up this publication while taking an online course for a counted canvas-work project. I had never done needlepoint before, but am well acquainted with counted cross stitch. This booklet did a fine job of explaining the basic needlepoint stitches (which, I should add, are quite different from counted cross stitch). This paperback book is approximately 80 pages in length and includes illustrations to explain the stitches used in most needlepoint projects. I'm happy with this purchase as I was just looking for a good, basic tutorial in basket weave and other traditional stitches used in needlepoint.

This book shows how to do basic needlepoint stitches with good diagrams. It also has information on canvas styles and thread types, which I found helpful. I needed to get started on my first project and this book helped ease my worries. I recommend it.

Very pleased...only book that gave the answer to a problem of the canvas squares closing up. It's an inexpensive little book that would be an asset to your needlepoint library

This was such a basic book - which I thought I needed but realistically, the same information was in the directions with most kits. Not sure I would have purchased it if I had realized that in advance.

I have been using this booklet as a "quick guide" for my project because I have never done needle point before. It's been a wonderful tool to learn from especially in choosing needle type and size.

This book is wonderful! Even though I have done a small one a long time ago, that had all the instructions, this is very complete and I like the format. I am still waiting for my patterns to come so that I can make full usage of this book.
