Q: what are the bottom measurements?

The pot is oval and has a lip that the lid sits on. Inside measurements are to the lip, outside measurements are to the actual top of the bottom pan. Inside dimensions: Bottom ID - W 9 1/4"/24cm x L 14 3/4"/37.5cm x D 5 1/2"/13.5cm - Top ID W 11"/28cm x L 16 1/2"/42cm x D 5 1/2"/13.5cm. Outside dimensions: Bottom OD - W 9 1/2"/24cm x L 15"/38cm x 6 1/4"/15.5cm - Top OD - W 12 1/4"/31cm x L 17 3/4"/45cm x D 6 1/4"/15.5cm.Hope that's not too much info! I like this pan very much, I bought a second one and am thinking to buy more! I use them alot.

Q: Will I be able to use this to make gravy on my induction cooktop?

Kathy is wrong with her answer. The description of the product states it is induction compatible. Copied... "Top can be used as a saute pan, bottom can be used as a stock pot and both pieces together make a great covered roaster. Each unit comes with a rack which hangs up on the edge of the roaster to allow products to drain into the base. Polished interior and exterior allows for easy cleaning - Fully induction capable." I am ordering this item because it is Stainless steel which makes it "induction capable"

Q: Can you use this for broiling?

I can't why you couldn't. The cover is the perfect size & depth for broiling. The rack also helps with broiling. This is a great addition to your cookware. It's well made, big enough for a nice size turkey, heavy stainless steel - it's not going to ding or dent and it retains heat well. The first time I used it was for stuffed artichokes and they came out great. The pan acted like a Dutch oven. I put the chokes on the rack & it created a steam bath for them and they came out tender but firm! So I think if you wanted to use the cover for a broiling pan, it should work fine.
