What a great phone love it

Difficult to review when I've only had it 48 hours and it takes 16 to charge the batteries. However set up was easy. The phone is small, also the screen when not backlit! I previously had a large digit BT phone and hadn't realised the difference. Now to spend the next few months building its phone list. I have done one and someone left an answer phone message with no problems. Appears very good value for the price.

We are moving to a temporary location while we renovate our office. These two handy phones are absolutely perfect for what is needed. They are easy to install and have all the features that we need. Not only do they look great but the sound quality is perfect

Not great clarity on calls.

After BT changed our connection to digital through our Internet we lost our answer phone facility! We did have BT phones with answerphone built in... but it seemed they were incompatible. We did not realise for weeks that BT had automatically switched off our answerphone & changed to voicemail! It was only when someone commented we hadn't returned their calls that we checked out after a bit of googling we found we had to phone 1571 to get our voice messages. There was no obvious sign we even had a message. Very frustrating😳 As we use our mobiles in the main for calls etc as free with our contract... we only needed a Landline for incoming calls & messages. This phone absolutely fits the bill ! The answerphone is 👏 brilliant..when there is a message the play button flashes red..you cant miss it ! It is very lightweight & smaller compared to our previous phones. However the price was very much cheaper & actually delivers all that we need Measuring 15cm x 15cm with phone in base. I like this size as neat & compact. Easy to set up. Plug base with phone into socket to charge for 16 hours before connecting to your router. Insert 2 x AAA Batteries to handset. There is a handsfree speaker function. You can block up to 50 numbers. The only negative for this phone is that there is not a button on the phone to immediately block any nuscience calls. You have to go into the menu to 🚫 block. The sound quality is fine but not as good as previous phone. The default number of rings before going into answerphone is 5 rings but you can pick up & speak to caller once they start leaving their messsge. Recording capacity is 12 minutes. To sum up we are extremely happy with this phone. The price on offer for £23 is amazing. No complaints from us & would reccommend for value & usability.

Context: I ordered this phone as the mobile phone coverage in my area can be quite poor & I found I was missing important calls from my GP, hospital etc. Pros - Very easy to set up. The instructions are step-by-step & very easy to understand. Nice handset size & although it feels light, it’s certainly up to the job. Nice buttons which aren’t too small & it’s easy to see the numbers with normal sight. I have arthritis in my hands & fingers & I find this very easy to use. I have mobility issues & as a result I’m unable to get to the phone quickly, this phone will happily sit on the side table (off its base) for a full day before I place it back in the cradle to charge overnight. Cons - The construction does feel very light but I haven’t had any problems with its performance. You do need to leave it plugged in to the power socket for 16 hours before connecting it to the phone socket, I’m unsure if this is standard for landline phones but perhaps something to bear in mind. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase.

This was purchased as a replacement for a BT Studio Plus 5500 twin set. While it was owned for many years, a water spill meant the end of handset one and the Base Unit, which also rendered handset two inoperable. Hence, the replacement. The BT3110 Home Phone is a very smart “looking” phone. It’s functions, or lack thereof, mean that it cannot be called “smart” in the modern sense of phone lingo. Keys The keys are soft rubber, as opposed to harder plastic which I find tends to last longer (i.e. the former, tending to being wore with constant use and becoming stuck). However, as this phone is brand new it may yet prove me wrong. Ring tone(s) Unfortunately, the selection is minimal. In addition, a simple “ring-ring, ring-ring” is not available. The tones are somewhat… “modern?”. Volume I have found the volume loud enough. It is by no means excessive. I appreciate that it may indeed be insufficient for the hard of hearing. Answer machine Compared to the BT Studio Plus 5500 the answer machine is very similar. Even the default message is almost identical. However, the BT Studio Plus 5500 did have a LCD counter, if you will, on the Base Unit to let the user know how many messages had been left (or were in its memory). The BT3110 does not have this facility which is a shame as one could go through each message and delete or keep a message(s) which would, of course, affect the number of messages stated on the display. Also, messages cannot be deleted using the handsets which could be done with BT Studio Plus 5500. It appears that messages can only be deleted using the Base Unit. Conclusion The phone appears good value for money. It is nothing fancy, although it looks sleek. The LCD on the previously owned BT Studio Plus 5500 disappeared after a couple of years or so. Also, the blue light that would emanate from the handset display eventually stopped. As this did not affect the operation of the handset itself, one speculates that it was likely due to failure of the internal bulb. I am certainly curious if the BT3110 will share this characteristic in time. How much time is indeed the question as, as is the case with technology, it is bound to happen if given enough time. But for now, it serves its purpose and I consider it a good purchase.

So disappointed that the connections for this phone were UK based when selling to Ireland. Not good enough. Defeats the whole purpose of online buying. .
