Q: Is this the red bottle or black bottle? I do not want the black bottle

It's a pinkish red. I hate it!! It says "mist" it does not come in a spray bottle and it made my hair a horribly sticky mess. I couldn't comb it or even get the straightener to go through it.

Q: Do you have access to the old formula of Hot Sets 22? The old formula ingredients began with alcohol, denat, agua/water etc.?

I have a very old gray 5 oz. bottle of Redken 22 Hot Sets (maximum control) with the price tag of $10.95 still on it. The ingredients listed are: ALCOHOL, DENAT, WATER/AQUA, VA/CROTONATES/VINYL, NEODECANOATE COPOLYMER, PEG/PPG-4/12 DIMETHICONE, OCTYLACRYLAMIDE/ACRYLATES/BUTYLAMINOETHYL MYTHACRYLATE COPOLYMER, POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE, FRAGRANCE/PARFUM, PANTHENOL, BENZOPHENONE-3, SILK AMINO ACIDS, TREHALOSE (D6238/1). Q: Can you tell me if this is the old formula coming from the red bottle? Since they have discontinued the REdken Hot Sets 22 or reformulated it

Judging by the different color of the liquid (opaque, white instead of clear), I am assuming the formula has been changed. However the performance of the spray is unchanged and works great.

Q: Do you like the product? Or would you recommend something else. I have fine thin hair.

I like this product in conjunction with a styling gel. I do not think Hot Sets 22 by itself would work with fine, thin hair because it would comb/brush out too easily.
