INTAKEKAI Performance Air Intake (Compatible with 2012-2017 TOYOTA CAMRY 2.5 2.5L LE SE XLE XSE MODELS) (BLACK)

It took more time to uninstall the old air box than to install this one. I took the old airbox off all the way to the radiator support. I was impressed with the quality of the whole kit, but the instructions aren't helpful. As others have said, you need to bend the mounting tab on the bottom of the intake because it doesn't clear the air filter when installed. This is really no big deal, I bent mine with my hands. It's aluminum, so don't go all "Hulk Smash" and snap it off! Once it was bent, the long metal brace with holes no longer matched the mounting holes, so I drilled another hole between the two on it and it fit perfectly. Someone with an average mechanical ability will have no problem, but if you don't and have no tools, this probably isn't the intake for you. Tools used: 10mm socket to remove old air box, socket extender, pliers to remove hose clamp, trim removal tool to pop up plastic rivets on radiator support & remove air sensor from old airbox, straight screwdriver to tighten hose clamps, Philips screwdriver to remove air sensor, drill and 5/16" bit to drill new hole in brace.

Fitment was great. Great seals and clamps etc. had to bend some of the brackets a bit but it was very easy. Sounds and runs great. Air sensor fit perfectly which was always a problem for other brands on the newer camrys. Definately recommend.

It’s good for its price but the air filter doesn’t come pre oiled so I recommend either oiling it up or getting a better quality one like Spectre or k&n which will give u a way better performance while also saving money,also the nuts on it have some rubber that doesn’t let you screw everything in correctly so I recommend taking the screw to a hardware store and getting better nuts for them, overall it’s a decent product just requires extra steps

Fit perfectly. Easy to install. I wish the instructions were easier to follow

Nice gas saver

This kit was very nice and complete. Unlike others, it has the home for the MAFS and replaced the big bulky stock box easily. I wish the pipe was longer and just bolted directly to the old mount instead of using a metal piece to cross the gap. That’s my only complaint as of now. I did need screw hose clamps as the existing squeeze ones could not hold the crank hose on with the old. It would vibrate loose. It’s an additional $1.00 at most for the auto store. Does make a little more noise under the hood from the intake but it’s to be expected going from a closed box system. Hardest part of “instal” was removing the old intake as it’s so big and bulky. Mine old was broken in a few areas from previous owner is why I changed it out.

It was harder to get the OE air box off than it was to install the RAI. Did have to make some minor adjustments to the brackets. The directions seemed to be translated into English, but were easy enough to follow, and the picture that came with the directions did help. Took it for a test drive with no issues, 5/5 🙂

Installed this intake in 1hr & 30mins, straight forward install remove old box add in new intake pipe and filter, installed on my 2015 Toyota Camry 2.5l i4, only part that gave me a tiny bit of issues was the cone filter but with some silicone grease it went on. Also thank you for including all the correct hardware a lot of companies don’t
