Quirky Contort 4-Port USB Hub (Green)

I bought this product mainly because it was reasonably priced for 4 additional USB ports. I own an ACER 4315 laptop that uses Windows Vista. When I initially plugged it into my laptop, everything seemed fine. It took a little bit of time to download all the necessary drivers but it seemed to work. I was mistaken. Each time I would plug a different object into the contorted port hub, it would download the drivers for that device, or say it needed a 2.0 port which my laptop already HAS. Contorting the hub here and there seemed to help. Some. I became frustrated and just began seeking other options. I tried it for 2 weeks so I wouldn't act out of haste, but I don't care for this product.Oh and one other thing that I would have preferred. The ports are all in one direction. Horizontally, I'll say. Side by side. A better idea, would be for someone to create a hub with alternating directional hubs. Horizontal, vertical, horizontal, vertical. I say this because I have a few Patriot Flash Drives that are larger than normal size and can only fit two on this hub. If the drive ports alternated in size, I could've probably fit all four or at least be able to plug in two other devices along with two of the flash drives.

This is a very simple, durable USB hub. I'm using this for my Laptop currently, as it only has 2 USB ports normally. This hub allows me to connect multiple external harddrives, webcams, and input devices with no problems.Currently using this on a MacBook pro that runs both OSX and Windows 7, it works on both operating systems just fine.Great little USB hub, very simple, can't go wrong.

This is a powered unit so it charges your stuff while connected , it does not need any drivers and you do not get any of the annoying messages about a new hardware being installed in your PC, it also works with Macs and apple computers which is a plus, the design is cool and very compact....recommended  Quirky Contort 4-Port USB Hub (Charcoal) !

helpful in keeping clutter down but be aware you need the correct combination of high speed chargers for what you are charging and does not seem to like all of them....maybe I need to read specs closer.....just be aware. for the price it's still not a bad deal

I am a huge fan of quirky products, especially those designed for tech. This does not disappoint. It's sturdy and works as advertised. I bought it primarily so I could charge my iphone and use my usb "Passthrough" (ecig that connects directly to a usb port) while working on my homework for college without taking up ALL my ports on my laptop. It does the job beautifully.Hope this helps :)

The company i got this from sent me the totally wrong product. I got some Quirky product that was supposed to be used to support a broom handle instead. I love all thing Quirky but this was not what i ordered. When i went to send it back i found out that i would have to pay return postage and the postage would end up costing me more than buying another one of these. Im sure it s great product but ill never know because thats not what i received.

The USB Hub is attractive with no dangling wires. It provides a useful way to extend one USB port to four ports. There are holes on each side of the top that could be used to secure the hub with tie downs. I have found it unnecessary to further secure the hub with ties. This is a simple but useful product.

Works great! Should have gotten one a long time ago. It seems the USB ports on my 2008 laptop I don't really want to replace yet are dropping like flys and only work for certain things anymore. This will really extend the life of my machine.

I love the idea of this, however the usb connector is not strong enough to hold the weight of even a phone charger. can't use it anymore as it constantly disconnects and reconnects every 30 seconds,

Got this because my MacBook Pro USB slots are to close together. It is perfectly wonderful and very portable. Wonderful.

Stopped working after 2 month
