Q: What kind of tool kit would i need?

the instruction booklet describes basic tools for model building. these include Xacto knife or similar, tweezers, side cutters, scissors and plastic glue. other items that would help are files, sandpaper, clamping devices, paint etc.

Q: Does it come with tools and paints, or they have to be purchased separately?

This, like all plastic models, does NOT come with any paints or tools. The instruction sheet will tell you what paint colors and tools you'll need. But it doesn't require anthing special. Normal modeling tools suffice. A hobby knife and scissors for the decals. Then just paint brushes and paint. This is an awesome model. It's been one of my favorite bikes to build. It does also have a an upgrade kit you can purchas that will give you a more realistic set of front forks, rear spring and rear shock. They are anadize aluminum and look great! You'll probably see it in the section at the bottom of the page for "people who purchased this also bought". Happy modeling!!!

hi, the parts comes with white/black/grey colored plastic, will also require some painting to complete so they appear like the shown images,thanks
