Everything works great, and he loves it! However, he suggests that it’s better to take a class on rod building, then get this to start.

If you are trying to get into rod building this kit is your best move. Rod building can be a bit of a challenge in the beginning but this kit will help you . Definitely go with this and not the cheaper quality kits

Not what I had hoped for. Alot of the pieces to the kit feel cheap. The design of the wrapping device feels as if no thought went into the design. The rotary turner does not grip the rod well and the height of it does not match up and is non adjuatable. The provided instructions could use more detail for first timers.
