Gift for my 9 year old grandson. He especially liked the option to launch 2 different ways with this launcher. It is also compatible with handle extensions he already had. Good deal!!

Sadly, this was a bad purchase for me. I bought two of these launchers for my kids. Within a couple of weeks, they told me they weren't working properly. They failed to launch right-spinning Beyblades, which is the majority of all Beyblades. I opened it and the post of one of the internal gears was snapped, which prevented the main gear from rotating. I tried to glue the post in place to no avail. It should be made of metal instead of plastic. This product cannot withstand the rigorous use of 8-year-olds, so don't waste your money.

I had purchased the Takara Tomy (Bey Launcher LR) that broke the second day of light use. That was $36 and this cost me $10 & shipping. So with that being said, it works well and it's a very strong launch. The launcher refuses to work with a select few of my beyblades. Left spin is decent and right spin seems more dominant. The string gets stuck a lot to the point where you think it's broken but don't panic! Don't yank on it simply adjust the spin mode from right to left or vice versa and spin the prongs back with your hand and gently pull the string back until it springs back into it's normal self. It's as good as the Takara Tomy variant it just doesn't look as cool.

I bought this for my toddler, who loves playing beyblades with his big brother but doesn't have the dexterity to use a non-string launcher. His brother has a Takara Tomy (imported Japanese) one that he usually borrows, but I thought he'd like his own.It works well and seems to be well constructed, like any other genuine Hasbro or Takara Tomy beyblade burst launchers.However, a word of warning: it is not compatible with any handle I can find, which is not evidential from the pictures. I assumed it would work with a generic Takara Tomy-style handle I also bought, and this was not the case. I assume it would work with a Hasbro-branded handle, but I can't actually find one for sale anywhere. All the launcher handles I see for sale on Amazon are the Takara Tomy style and are not compatible.

This launcher makes a big difference when launching the heavier Bay Blades. Really easy to use once you get the hang of it and my 3yr old has no problem using it. Well worth the $ .

This string launcher is too awesome!!!! Order 2 for my son and I to have our battles with. Launches beyblades fast. One "broke" but it was super easy to fix. Just youtube it.
