Q: I bought this scale two years ago and the battery seems to be dead. Is the battery covered under the warranty and if not, is it replaceable?

The battery is replaceable. It is the CR2032. Drug stores and Best Buy both have it, I know. And Target. Unscrew the one little screw in the battery cover, remove the cover, take out the old one (check to be sure you know which side goes up --it's the side with the numbers on it--and close it up.

Q: Does the weight number stay on for a while after you get off?

is it accurate by medical standards?

Q: is size of display large enough to read without bending

It is for me. I can read it without my glasses.

Q: Why does it not weight packages I need to ship? Is it because the scale is heat sensitive? It never registers a weight of a box.

All scales have an optimal weight range. Body scales are not very accurate for lightweight items and most have a minimum weight just to activate it. Get a kitchen scale or shipping scale to accurately weigh lighter items.
